Disney’s California Adventure Expansion Update

New attractions, new shows, a new entrance, and even a whole new land!

The expansion of Disney’s California Adventure was designed as a series of projects opening over a five-year period from when it was first announced in fall 2007. In summer 2008 Toy Story Mania! opened to guests, a 4D interactive attraction. In 2009, the newly themed Games of the Boardwalk and Mickey’s Fun Wheel opened, both located in the Paradise Pier area of the Park.

Rumor Alert: Disney “Wizard Of Oz” Prequel

Word is that Disney is working on a “Wizard of Oz” prequel movie and that the studio is hoping that either Johnny Depp or Robert Downey, Jr. will agree to play the Wizard character.

While nothing is finalized yet, rumor has it that Disney has its eye on Baz Luhrmann for director.
