Just after the Gutenberg printing press scene, in the first part of the Renaissance section, look for the first painter to the left of your ride vehicle. In one spot the paint cans were “removed” and left rings of paint behind in a Hidden Mickey.

Hidden Mickey: Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
With its enormous entrance area, rustic setting, and showcase pool, the Disney Wilderness Lodge is one of the most beautiful resorts in the Walt Disney World Resort. So where is this weeks Hidden Mickey?

Fire Rock Geyser
Outside, from the walkway next to Fire Rock Geyser, scan the shallow stream running down from the small pool by the geyser. There are two possible classic Mickey’s in the rock of the streambed. The Fire Rock Geyser erupts every hour on the hour, providing a thrilling water display of nature’s power!

What are Hidden Mickeys?
A hidden Mickey is a partial or complete impression of Mickey Mouse placed by the Imagineers and artists to blend into the designs of Disney attractions, hotels, restaurants, and other areas.

A “Real” Hidden Mickey
A true Hidden Mickey is one that is not meant to be seen immediately, and is usually placed purposefully by a Disney Imagineer or artist in a context that would not normally contain Mickey Mouse. When the shape of Mickey Mouse is used as an obvious part of the design, such as Mickey ears on the top of lampposts, it is considered decorative and sometimes referred to as a “decor Mickey.” Additionally, formations of the iconic head and ears have been spotted in nature or even on animals, but they are also not Hidden Mickeys. The general rule is: “Not associated with Disney, not a Hidden Mickey.”
Each week D23 Magic will help you find a new Hidden Mickey.

This week we land in the Magic Kingdom, Liberty Square section. In the Haunted Mansion, when you are looking down at the ballroom party of ghosts, there is a long banquet table. One place setting at the left end of the table forms a hidden Mickey.
